Credit Department Legal Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining legal accounts
  • Preparing accounts for legal action, which consists of small claim lawsuits
  • Create legal files with customers information to assign accounts to an attorney to file liens, bond claims and lawsuits
  • Monitor accounts with liens and claims in a timely manner before any legal statue expires
  • Make sure abstract of judgments are filed in all counties that the customer might have assets
  • General office duties (filing, answering phones and copying)
  • Other duties, as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in construction (preferred but not required)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office functions
  • Experience with AS400
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently and independently and be driven to meet deadlines
  • Requires written and verbal communication skills by phone and emails
  • Good time management and organization skills with attention to detail
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be able to pass drug test and background check
  • Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days)
